We believe the first step in building a successful working relationship with a client is to define goals and translate them into strategies to achieve specific objectives that are both “doable” and meaningful.  Setting specific objectives also provides both parties with benchmarks for evaluating performance and results.

While the nature of the policy process makes it impossible to predict “sure things,” and even difficult to estimate “strong probabilities,” we discourage our clients from pursuing goals that lack a reasonable chance of success.  If we agree to develop and undertake a strategy, our reasons will be based on experienced judgment, and will serve to measure our success.
